Conference Organization The 8th International Conference of Modeling and Simulation is organized by the LGIPM (Industrial Engineering and Production Laboratory of Metz) and the CEREP (Productics Research Center). The LGIPM is managed by Nidhal Rezg, Professor at the University Paul Verlaine of Metz. Members of this laboratory are teachers-searchers from National Engineering School of Metz (ENIM), Paul Verlaine University of Metz (UPVM) and Nancy Grand Est INRIA researchers. This laboratory is bi-localized in both ENIM and UPVM locals. Its main thematic is industrial engineering and deals with maintenance optimization problems, production management and goods and services production systems design. LGIPM is organized in three project-teams which are “performances evaluation and systems design”, “control theory”, “Systems reliability and maintenance”. Project-teams jointly contribute to CosTeam (Optimal and secure management of manufacturing systems) project of INRIA Nancy Grand Est. CEREP (Productics Research Center) is linked to Science and Techniques Engineering School of Tunis (ESSTT). It is managed by Anis Chelbi, Associate Professor. This unity research thematic deals with systems reliability and availability optimization, signal and image processing and renewable and solar energies. Works and research projects covering these two themes are oriented towards industrial and medical applications. This Conference is financially supported by the ENIM (National Engineers School of Metz), managed by Pierre Padilla, Honorary president of the organizing committee.
