Practical information   Formalities The Tunisian government requires an entrance visa for some nationalities. To check whether you need a visa to attend the conference, please contact the Tunisian Embassy in your country or visit the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. If necessary, you can contact Nathalie Sauer at nathalie.sauer@univ-metz.fr for a formal invitation letter. Time Zone in Tunisia Tunisia is at UTC/GMT +1. How to get here By Air Tunisia has six international airports: Djerba, Monastir, Sfax, Tabarka, Tozeur, Tunis. Tunisair (020 7734 7644) and British Airways (0844 493 0787) operate several flights a week from Heathrow and Gatwick to Tunis respectively. Jet2.com (0871 226 1737) are also introducing flights as of May 2010, from the UK to Monastir. Nouvelair operates a weekly flight every Sunday from Gatwick to Monastir. Bookings can be made through their UK agent, Tunisia First (01276 600 100). Charter flights usually fly to Monastir from regional airports (Birmingham, Glasgow, Belfast etc) all over the UK & Ireland. Sevenair is the domestic airline operating from Tunis to Djerba, Tozeur and Sfax. Contact Tunisair for information and reservations (020 7734 7644).
