Mener des projets, être solidaires, vivre des moments de partage…

Associative life has long been strongly supported at the ENIM. Indeed, this life on the periphery of studies enables engineering students to be part of the school dynamic and to acquire social skills that are often decisive when looking for a job...

Integration, solidarity, personal development, taking responsibility and maturity are the key words of this policy, which complements, through learning in the field, the theory developed in the course and reinforced by the recent creation of the Institute of Management.

The aim of this approach is to help students to become engineers who are aware of their role and their missions, in their heads, in their bodies and in their relations with others.

The associative life at the ENIM allows each engineering student to integrate and develop...

There is a "central" association, the Students Bureau (BDE) Its aim is to enable engineering students to develop throughout their school years. It is at the centre of student life. It plays a coordinating role between associations and clubs. It is also the privileged interlocutor of the administration and the students' spokesperson with the management.

ADENIM- Students' Association - BDE

The BDE, the central association of the ENIM, federates all the student associations.

Its objective is to enable students to develop throughout their school years and it plays a coordinating role between the associations and clubs.

The Students' Office is also responsible for animating student life within the school.

The events

Integration

After welcoming and guiding international newcomers to ENIM during the 2 months of school holidays (housing assistance, opening of accounts, temporary accommodation, discovery of the town and the region, practical advice on life in Metz, teaching at ENIM, etc.), the members of ADENIM organise an integration week for its new engineering students at the beginning of the September school year. In addition, during the 1st and 2nd weeks of classes, activities are organised to reinforce the cohesion created during the Integration Week. This period allows newcomers to better approach the transition from high school to student life, as well as to discover the ENIM and its environment.

It is on this occasion that newcomers can fully discover the city of Metz and the Lorraine region. Finally, this event, always very much appreciated by ENIM students, brings them closer to their host town but remains the federating event of ENIM's associative dynamism and the fraternal atmosphere that reigns between ENIM engineering students.

Boom'ENIM

This public student party is organized under a big tent, once or twice a month.

The profits from these evenings are the main source of income for the enimian associations. The main interest of these evenings is the entertainment during the week of the students of Metz, in a very folkloric and cheap setting. La Boom also makes it possible to reinforce the bonds between students from Metz, and thus, with other schools in the area.

Graduation Ceremony

The graduation ceremony is the closing event of the 5 years of studies spent by each engineering student. Held in the main hall of the Arsenal in Metz, this ceremony brings together the graduates of the year, their families and personalities from the industrial, economic and political world, sponsors of the graduating class. During this event, 6 groups of students are formed, and each diploma is awarded by one of the 6 prestigious sponsors that are present. The ceremony is interspersed with entertaining interludes (orchestra, show, ...), and ends with a cocktail.

Each sponsorship is of course associated with a speech by one of its personalities and advice for the entry into working life of the young graduates.

ENIM’s Night (NDE)

The NDE is above all a great evening of reunion and exchange for all those in contact with the school. This prestigious gala brings together engineering students, their families, teachers, alumni, researchers, industrialists and institutional partners of the ENIM, and of course all the staff of the school.

Much more than a simple student event, such an evening is an opportunity to bring together 900 people in a prestigious setting, as was the case at previous Galas.

Graduation Trip (VFE in French)

Organised by the 5th year engineering students, before their final year project, this week of VFE brings together ENIM students and teachers on the snowy slopes in a friendly and warm atmosphere.

This week is the last opportunity for the future graduates to meet the people they have worked with during these five years at ENIM before carrying out their End of Studies Project, which is often relocated.

Mi-Lustre

With a “lustre” representing the five years of study, this internal event, organized by the 3rd year students, is intended to celebrate the halfway point of the study cycle at ENIM. Taking place in another country, it allows the discovery of another culture during a weekend.

Father One Hundred

Known to be defined as the last 100 days before the baccalaureate, Father One Hundred is quite different at the ENIM. He celebrates the last 100 days of study of the 5th year students. After some internal activities, ENIM students are invited to an open-air barbecue which closes this event.

End of Year Barbecue

For the last time of the school year, the majority of ENIM students, teachers and staff are gathered around an open-air barbecue.

In a friendly and musical atmosphere, it allows everyone to close the school year, looking forward to the next one!

ADELIA, ITII Apprentice Association

ADELIA is the association of ENIM engineering students from the apprenticeship program, in partnership with the ITII.

This association offers students festive events allowing them to exchange in an extra-curricular context. We mainly organize student parties and sports events.

Our association is strong because of the diversity of our members. Indeed, they all do their workstudy in companies in our region. Our three-year course is punctuated by activities organised by ADELIA.

From the integration evening to the graduation ceremony, our association gives rhythm to the student life of our course.

For more information do not hesitate to visit ADELIA's page

ENIM’ETUDE - Junior Enterprise

ENIM-Etudes is the Junior-Enterprise of ENIM. It puts the technical and human potential of a higher education school at the service of companies.

A motivated and dynamic team offers solutions to projects proposed by companies and carries them out. From quotation to delivery, ENIM-Etudes will implement all its efficiency to bring to the needs of companies an irreproachable quality.

The Junior-Enterprise allows companies to call upon the capacities of ENIM's engineering students. The engineering students come here to seek the opportunity to implement the pedagogical teachings received (courses, supervised work, practical work), their qualities as future engineers, as well as to widen their fields of competence. In this respect, they are true revelations of corporate spirit.

ACUENIM -  cultural association

Coms' and their events

The Com'Graph

This commission gathers ENIM’s designers in order to realize posters for parties, logos for all the enimian associations or options.

It also produces covers, drawings and comics for the Enimitable

The Com’Photo

It is in charge of covering parties and booms, making promo photos, CVs and making the calendar of the IV Gods.

The Com’Zik

Its aim is to bring together all ENIM musicians (students and sometimes teachers) who rehearse then play during different events taking place at ENIM or outside of it.

Every month, all the musicians meet to organize the JAM SESSION, an evening during which they perform in front of the other students and share their passion for music.

The Com’Ciné

In alternation with the JAMs, the Com'Ciné offers once a month the screening of a film in ENIM’s auditorium.

The Com’Info

This commission edits and publishes the monthly ENIM student newspaper, "L'énimitable", based on articles written by the school's students. Distributed internally, this newspaper reports all the current events of the ENIM or from outside, information concerning the enimian associations, as well as all the moods of the students and teachers of the school. The journal is now available online. The Com'Info also carries out other work for the ENIM associations, such as the book of traditions for example.

The Com’Radio

In tandem with Radio Campus Lorraine (106.1 in FM), COM'RADIO is the best way to get into radio with this 100% student antenna.

The Com’Jeux

This commission oversees organizing games evenings within ENIM such as card games (poker, tarot, ...), board games or role-playing games etc...

ENIM’TECH -  Technological Association

ENIMTECH is the technological association of ENIM. It enables ENIM engineering students to satisfy their passion for technology. The association manages and coordinates clubs and events of a technical nature. Its achievements allow the direct application of the knowledge taught at ENIM. Each student can indulge his or her passion every Thursday afternoon.

A word from the president

Being part of Enimtech means working with people who are passionate about mechanics, from the workshop to the organization of events. This year thanks to our team we have formed teams more motivated than ever to carry out concrete projects. We are relaunching the mythical Solex race at Enim. Our crew is preparing in our workshops to climb on the podium. The Enim Motor Show gathering will come back, and it will be an opportunity for our ERT mechanics to show the public what they have achieved with this little gem. I would like to allow all my members and engineering students to see their projects evolve by opening as many doors as possible for them to reach their goals.

The VMA club

The VMA project (old motorcycle speed) consists in preparing a 1991 Ducati 900 SS to be able to participate in the VMA 2017 and 2018 challenge in the Open-evolution category, which gives us a certain freedom in the preparation of the bike (improvements to the cycle and engine parts). On this same bike, we will adapt a removable kit that will allow a paraplegic person to ride a racing bike.

We are working in parallel on another project, a Yamaha on which we are adapting a sidecar that can accommodate a wheelchair, so that we can give motorcycle baptisms to people.

The Enim Racing Team

The members of the Club Enim Racing Team (Club E.R.T.) take care of repairing, maintaining and optimising racing vehicles designed in previous years by 5th year students in the motor sport option.

Our main objectives are to make our vehicles, once operational, participate in motor racing competitions and gatherings where we can offer baptisms in our two-seater prototype.

ENIM solex club

The Solex club is 32 years of history with ENIM. Its aim is to form a crew and prepare a Solex in order to participate in the endurance race organised in May by the school.

Every year about thirty crews race for 6 hours on the school car park, which has been transformed into a real circuit!

We are six moped enthusiasts ready to do anything to take up this challenge.

The solex club is designing a high-performance prototype to race in the highest official category: the super prototype category.

The only constraints are :

  • An engine not exceeding 50cc
  • UA roller drive on the front wheel

For the design of our frame, we go back into the archives left by the former competitors, and rebuild an engine, a braking system and a new fairing. The rest of the work consists in optimizing the engine to combine performance and longevity.

The Crenim

The Crenim is the robotics association of the ENIM. It allows ENIM engineering students to participate and to discover: the field of robotics, programming and of course also the field of mechanics. The association participates each year in the French and Belgian Robotics Cups. But the association can also be present in other technological events (Course solex, Enim Espace, Mini Make Faire, etc...).

The realization of the robot for the French Cup is the concrete implementation of the knowledge taught at ENIM. This association also allows you to learn project management, from design to manufacturing but also teamwork as the ENIM robot is made in collaboration with an epic ENIB programmer and various sponsors throughout the Grand Est region.

Each student can come and participate in our activities every Thursday afternoon and during lunch breaks.

Recent results:

-  best student teams Grand Est since 2017

- PFrench Cup Jury Prize in 2017

- Selected for the European Robotics Cup in 2017 (22nd place in Europe)

- 3rd place in the 2018 solex race for the "Crenim Racing Team"

The ENIM space club

The ENIM space club is carrying out several projects including participation in C’Space: a week of competitions between aeronautical clubs on several fields (rocket launch, CanSat for example). Followed by companies of the aeronautics sector, this competition is ideal to meet professionals and make us known in these sectors.

ASOENIM – ocial Association

ENIM's social association has set itself the vocation of carrying out humanitarian, social mutual aid and solidarity actions.

Its role is to help and encourage the Enimiens to participate in real social actions, with varied but always concrete and direct objectives. It offers the possibility to all engineering students to fully commit themselves through various operations such as blood donation, the Telethon or the humanitarian convoy Raid'Action.

ASOENIM, through numerous events and initiatives, has proved its dynamism and creativity. It encourages and values all the good ideas that the school's students can bring, which more than ever are the driving force behind this association.

AIENIM – International Association

The International Association welcomes foreign students to the ENIM. It facilitates the search for accommodation, offers themed evenings for the integration of students... It also provides a database allowing the school's students to have access to the advice of alumni for semesters abroad.

The first role of AIENIM is therefore to ensure the smooth running of the student life of foreign exchange students in our school.

The events

The AI integrates foreign students through parties and visits to the city during the first two weeks before the start of the ENIM school year, so each commission of this association is responsible for the good integration of the corresponding foreign community with the school.

The AI organizes theme evenings such as international meals which encourage cultural sharing within the ENIM.

The AI organizes excursions in France and in Europe, to allow foreigners and French people to discover the charms of our regions.

Recently organised trips: Prague, Lyon (festival of lights), Strasbourg (Christmas market), Amsterdam.

ASENIM – Sports Association

ASENIM (Association Sportive de l'ENIM) aims to enable its members to practice the sports listed by the CRSU. It brings together about 100 CRSU licensees. Its action is at the level of the supervision and management of training and competitions by each section manager, but also from a financial point of view. Indeed, ASENIM reimburses the travel expenses of its members during FFSU competitions, a part of their possible external licences as well as their registration to certain regional or national sporting events. ASENIM proposes to develop the practice of sports among ENIM students. Moreover, it is possible for each engineering student, within ASENIM, to organize and participate in events with a sporting purpose.

The events

The Inter-ENIS

The Inter-Enis games are part of the traditions of the ENI group schools, and are organized in turn by the 4 schools and will take place this year in Brest. In spite of a rivalry due to the competition, conviviality and good humour characterise the general atmosphere of this event.

This event brings together more than 500 engineering students from the 4 ENIs (Brest, Metz, StEtienne, and Tarbes) who compete in sports disciplines such as: Football, Rugby, Basketball, Handball, Volleyball, Basketball, Tug-of-war, Pétanque, Badminton.

But the interest of such an event goes further than simple sports meetings. It lies in the warm meeting of engineering students from all corners of France for 3 days of celebration.

The CRSU meetings

Different sports events are planned each week by the CRSU. The ENIM registers each year different teams of Handball, Football, Basketball and especially the famous 15 des Gaillards for Rugby. These meetings consist of several tournaments between universities and schools in Lorraine, they mainly take place in Nancy or Metz on Thursday afternoons.

It is also possible to register for less frequent individual competitions such as rowing, boxing or climbing.

The CRSU challenges

The "challenges" are simply team meetings between different schools in Lorraine on Thursday afternoons in order to spend a sporting but above all convivial moment.

There are hourly records in swimming or athletics (as many times as possible in 1 hour) but also challenges in orienteering, pétanque, bowling ...
