After a 4-year degree

The selection of candidates wishing to join the ENIM and preparing for a 4-year higher education diploma is based on a dossier and possible interview.

Who can apply? 

Recruitment in the 4th year concerns candidates enrolled in a 1st year Master's degree (M1) or 2nd year Master's degree (M2) or preparing an equivalent diploma, in particular:

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Technology 
  • Master Engineer (IUP GMP) 
  • Master Engineer (IUP GSI)

Registration fees 

  • Non-listed: 80 euros 
  • Scholarship holder at the time of registration: free of charge

Approaches 

Pre-registration takes place online from January 22nd to March 22nd, 2020 at 5pm.

To prepare your application for the ENI in Metz, please follow these steps:

Step 1: 

Fill in the form entitled "Admission to 4th year" accessible from "Start your application" at the bottom of this page. 

A file number will be given to you at the end of the process. It is imperative that you keep it until the end of the recruitment procedure.

     

Step 2: 

After validation, print out your file (it is also possible to save it in order to print it out later). It is composed of: 

- the application form filled in using the information entered online by the candidate, 

- of the dispatch note indicating the documents to be attached to the file, 

- the candidate's charter of rights and duties to be completed and signed, 

- of the Defence and Citizenship Day (ex-JAPD) briefing note. 

Any attempt to re-register online will be rejected. Any changes should be noted in red pencil on the paper file. 

Step 3: 

Payment of the application fee. You may pay either : 

  • online by credit card, specifying your file number and the surname and first name of the candidate in the payment reference (especially if a third party pays the competition registration fees on behalf of the candidate). It is imperative to provide proof of online payment when sending the application form. 
  • by cheque payable to "l'Agent Comptable de l'Université de Lorraine", indicating on the back of the cheque the surname, first name and file number of the candidate. 

Candidates who have received a grant from the French government or wards of the nation are exempted from the application fee upon production of a receipt. 

In case of failure or abandonment of the candidate, these fees will not be reimbursed. 

Step 4: 

Send the file with the required documents and the payment of the application fee within 8 days (strongly recommended for the smooth running of your application) in a plastic bag open on the right to the address below. The requested documents, unstapled and without paper clips, must be placed in the order indicated on the packing slip.

The application must be sent by 15 April 2020 at the latest (postmark). If you do not respect this deadline you will lose the benefit of your application and will be considered as having resigned. 

Step 5: 

Download the evaluation from and have it filled out by your institution. 

You must have it completed at the institution where you are preparing for or have graduated with a BAC+4 degree. Attach the transcript of marks for the first semester of the 2019/2020 year (or the one used to fill out the evaluation form if you validated a BAC+1 level before the 2020 session). Write your file number in the upper right-hand corner.

Step 6 : 

Send the completed assessment form (and the corresponding transcript of grades) to the following address

You have until 30 April 2020 at the latest to send it (postmark as proof). After this deadline, you will be considered to have resigned. 

The admissions jury

It will take place in June. Each candidate will be informed of the result by e-mail. In case of admission, you will have to respect the deadlines which will be communicated to you to make your choice known. If you fail to do so, you will be considered as having resigned. 

Please be careful to forward your correspondence during your school holidays if necessary.
