- H01 ENIM Diploma by the Validation of Acquired Experience
Admission requirements:
Any person who has worked for at least 3 years in a salaried, self-employed or voluntary capacity may apply for the Validation of Acquired Experience to obtain a diploma or a professional title.
The Social Modernization Act No. 2002-73 of 17 January 2002 governs this procedure and the implementing decree No. 2002-590 of 24 April 2002 sets out the rules for obtaining a higher education diploma through the Validation of Acquired Experience (Validation des Acquis de l'Expérience).
The stages of the validation of acquired experience:
-
Submission of a pre-application file.
The study of this file gives rise to a reasoned opinion on the administrative admissibility of the application.
-
Interview with the candidate.
Analysis of the project by the VAE manager and an expert in the candidate's professional field.
Information on the progress of the VAE procedure, its financing and the nature of the file that will be presented to the jury.
This interview leads to a proposal for reorientation or confirmation of the candidate's initial project.

- Preparation of the final EAV file.
The candidate can ask for assistance at this stage. The support is an individualised methodological aid enabling him/her to analyse his/her activities in order to translate them in terms of skills, abilities and knowledge, in the light of the reference system in question.
The elaboration of a complete file, including elements of proof, takes place over a period of 4 to 6 months during which the candidate will benefit from a maximum of 10 hours of face-to-face meetings and remote exchanges.
The accompaniment also includes two proofreading of the file and a preparation for the interview with the jury.

- Registration and appearance before the jury.
Two months before the date of the jury meeting, registration for the diploma must be made with the director of the ENIM at the same time as the submission of the final application.
- Examination of the file and deliberation by the VAE jury.
Composed of mostly teacher-researchers and active professionals, specialists in the candidate's field, the jury examines the candidate's file and evaluates his/her experience during an interview.
This experience is described in the form of skills, aptitudes and associated knowledge, acquired in an employed, self-employed or voluntary activity.
This experience is assessed in the light of the diploma's reference framework.
The purpose of the interview with the jury is to provide additional elements or details concerning the candidate's professional background and activities.
After deliberation, the validation panel determines the knowledge and skills it considers acquired. It proposes to the director of the ENIM the partial or total award of the diploma.
Partial validations are recognised for a period of two years.
In the case of partial validation, the jury issues prescriptions as to the skills still to be acquired or proven. At the candidate's request, methods of acquiring these skills may be proposed to him/her.

- Organisation of VAE-related training courses
The ENIM can offer training courses to acquire skills and knowledge according to the jury's prescriptions.
This phase of complementary training will be individualized and followed by the ENIM's VAE unit.
The candidate will then present his/her completed file so that the jury can deliberate on the award (or not) of the diploma.
